Description

BRICKWORKS SAYS

This beautifully balanced home makes the most of its position, with light flooding in from all angles. The striking Corten steel frontage adds an industrial edge, as well as bountiful extra storage (including bikes), and is a quiet nod to what’s inside: a confident mix of old and new. Original fireplaces and floorboards sit alongside clean-lined cabinetry, creating a home that feels layered and cohesive.

Opened up via a smart side return extension, the kitchen/dining room is a space designed for real life: kids’ parties, late dinners, early coffees. Expansive windows pull daylight deep into the room, shifting beautifully as the day goes on. Upstairs, the principal bedroom occupies the top floor, complete with en-suite, more generous glazing, and well-judged storage.

Outside, the brick-paved garden is handsome in its simplicity — with plenty of scope to make it your own. Plus, you have the added bonus of a side gate to the street, which is extremely useful for tradespeople, bringing plants and soil into the garden, and multiple other purposes.

Tottenham here feels sociable and grounded. There’s a strong sense of community, lots of young families, and a rhythm that’s easy to slip into. Downhills Park is a local favourite, The Palm pub anchors the end of the road, and Perkyns is close at hand for coffee, pastries or a well-earned bottle of wine.

THE OWNERS SAY

We moved to Tottenham for the community that's here. We've made great friends with people on our road and the surrounding area. We love that every time you leave the house you bump into someone you know and our kids can have an impromptu play. (We love it so much we have decided to move only 5 minutes away.)

Our house is unique because it's the end of a terrace, so not only is it particularly peaceful, but also it gets the sun the entire day as our kitchen extension is south-facing. The road is quiet and full of families.

We are perfectly placed in this peaceful cluster of streets which are close to the park while also being well connected and a short walk to local amenities. We love our corner shop at the end of the road; we'll miss having all those emergency supplies only 30 seconds away.

An extension into the kitchen side return was completed in 2020, and an L-shaped dormer loft extension was added in the same year. In 2020, the main bathroom was renovated and a freestanding roll-top bathtub was added.

The front garden has seen a more recent transformation, with a complete remodel in 2024 — this included the installation of a bespoke Corten steel bike box and bin store, made by Bikebox London (with space for up to four adult bikes). The rear garden was also remodelled in 2024, and the front of the house was given a fresh lick of paint.
