Description
This stunning end of terrace family home on one of the area’s best roads, Fentiman Road, is available now via Nested. Featuring five large bedrooms, two reception/ living rooms, 3 bathrooms, a large kitchen/ dining area, a private garden and off-street parking, this house has it all.
The house has tons of original features including a Minton hallway floor, a Peace and Plenty fireplace, an original Victorian toilet, high ceilings throughout, stunning cornicing and large sash windows that have been secondary glazed.
Storage is a plenty throughout and there’s the added benefit of loft space and a cellar. The garden features a custom-made awning that covers the entire space and there’s a built-in, Argentinian BBQ, perfect for hosting.
This property is situated in an amazing location across from Vauxhall Park. Transport hub Vauxhall is just a 8 minute walk away offering Network Rail connections, the Victoria tube line and plenty of local buses. Nine Elms and Oval tube stations are a 10 minute walk away for the Northern tube line.
There are endless amenities and attractions close by including Oval Cricket Ground, New Covent Garden, the US Embassy, plenty of gyms, restaurants and cafes. Residents can also enjoy a pint at the Fentiman Arms, the eateries of 'Little Portugal' and the farmers’ market at St Mark's every Saturday.
Some words from the owners:
What do you love most about your home/property?
Where to start? We love the light in every room and in the halls and on the stairs. The peace and quiet provided by the commercial standard secondary glazing. The original features throughout. The cooling white tiles up the stairs that take the heat out of the hottest summers. The natural sandstone paving in the garden after the rain. The built in Argentinian BBQ. The purpose-built awning that covers the entire garden so we can BBQ in the rain. Having a cellar and a loft. Having two separate hot water systems so we are never left stranded if one is down and always being able to accommodate guests.
Why are you selling?
We’re moving to a new area, outside of London.
What do you love about the area?
The great travel connections, with three tube stations, an overground station, a bus station, and even a river bus all within 15 minutes walking. That within a quarter of an hour’s walk are an enormous variety of places to eat, from a traditional chip shop to fine dining, and even a Young’s pub that is far enough away not to be heard. Shopping locally also offers everything from local corner shops to specialist shops, a farmer’s market, and a major supermarket. We also love the amount and variety of trees and green spaces available.
