How Normie Estate Agents Found Success with Street CRM: A Director's Perspective

Hi, I'm Josh and I'm one of the Directors here at Normie Estate Agents based in North Manchester.

We were in the market for a new CRM during the COVID-19 lockdown. We were at home, we were bored, it was quiet, so we demoed every single CRM that was out there, and we just felt that Street.co.uk ticked those boxes, but it also gave us features that we didn't know we wanted to have so we saw it and thought “wow, that is something that we need.”

We are currently in the process of migrating our lettings over to Street.co.uk. One of the driving factors was that we wanted to have our landlords and tenants experiencing the same level of tech and features that our sales department gets. So all our vendors get a prompt to download the app on their iPhone or Android. There's loads of benefits to them doing that.

One of the benefits is that when we are on a viewing, we can actually ask the vendor a question. They then get a notification and they can send it back, straight away. Often if it's during the day or they're at work, it's much easier for them to do that and it saves the conversation, it's just done and it's much more efficient for us. So we're excited that our landlords will have an app and they'll be able to see their statements, repairs and approve them, and tenants will be able to submit maintenance requests and we are able to have everyone within the same ecosystem.

Our agents also have an app and one of the things that works really well is after a valuation, we can go on the app, put in what we value the property at and we can also put the fees and all that sort of stuff and agents can save it and set it to send at a later time or date. So you can have it sent for that evening and you can kind of just forget about it, rather than wait till you get to the office to do the follow up, I tend to just do it in the car. The owner then gets an email at seven o'clock that night saying “your valuation report is ready” and it looks like you're working really hard, even though you're at home in front of the TV not thinking about work.

It is insane the speed that Street.co.uk seemed to innovate and develop. An example of something that I was so impressed with was they recently launched a feature around the diary whereby you could see where people were at different times, quite easily for a particular property or when you were next there. I messaged the guys and said it would be really useful if they did the same thing, but for photos and measures, so you could see when the cameras were out and the photographers were out. It was on the Friday that I asked for that, and on the Monday I got a message to say “we love the idea, we've just added it onto the system” and I was like, that is really, really cool.

I have a really great relationship with a lot of the guys at Street.co.uk, the whole team are brilliant. One of the things that seems to run through the whole company is how they just don't sit still or rest on their laurels, they're always improving and adding new features and wanting to innovate, and that is something that we know we want to be a part of for the future.
