What’s new in Street? August 2022 Development Update

Head of Product

Summer is speeding by as quickly as our team is getting through new features. We’ve worked on a bunch of developments so far this month… find out what they are in our latest development update below.

See when an email has failed to send

Sometimes, emails fail to send. It might be because of an incorrect email address, or the recipient incorrectly marking Street as spam, but our newest feature will let you know when this happens. Street users now receive a notification when an email has failed to send, and why, in the notification centre. This not only ensures failed emails aren’t missed, but also allows the agent to check the email address to see if it’s correct and then resend the email to the right person.

Export the Recent Activity report

Our new ‘Recent Activity’ report gives agents a snapshot over a period of time for every property that has changed status, e.g a reduced in price. While we’ve added this new report to Street’s suite of reporting capabilities, we’ve also added the ability to export it as a CSV file, allowing agents to manipulate and display the data as they see fit.

See applicant notes when looking at property matches

Some agents like to add additional notes to an applicant, which can further explain or detail their specific property preferences and requirements. Since this information is useful in deciding whether or not to send a property match email, Street now shows agents these notes alongside the applicant information in the table so you can exclude or include applicants where relevant.

New merge fields available in document generation

Users will be pleased to hear that we’ve added more merge fields into our Document Generator. Agents can now create contracts with the tenure type included, as well as the instructed price when creating a template for Valuation documents - so they can make their paperwork even more comprehensive and specific to each individual sale.

Edit the ‘additional information’ note on a Sales Offer

Agents already have the ability to add a note to a Sales Offer - for example, they might add some context to the sale or an extra description they deem valuable. However, fast fingers sometimes cause unhelpful typos. That’s why we’ve changed this section so agents can now edit the note to both add more information, and make it a little more readable.

Automatic emails sent when maintenance jobs are completed

Once a maintenance request has been marked as complete, Street sends an automated email to both the tenant and the property owner. When a contractor has been instructed, a notification will also go to the property owner - so agents can always make sure everyone is always in the loop.

View the full history of a tenancy term

We’ve created an additional page within a tenancy that includes key information like when the tenancy term started, and ended, and the separate rent amounts that were charged. That’s why Street.co.uk users always have instant access to essential information about their lettings properties.

That’s all for now, see you next time for another sneak preview into Street Development HQ…
