What’s new in Street? Dev Update January 2023

Head of Product

From everyone here at Street.co.uk, we’re wishing you a great start to 2023. To kick off the New Year in true Street.co.uk style, we wanted to share some of the latest updates we’ve been working on over the festive period and into the beginning of 2023…

Get extra protection with Two Factor Authentication.

With Street.co.uk’s new two factor authentication, we’re making sure your account and data is safer than ever! This month, we’ve bolstered our security measures to give agents additional protection for their network.

All you need to do is ask for this feature to be turned on, and follow the simple step-by-step process. Once set up, agents will be asked to scan a QR code and enter a one time code to log into their account.

Notifications for outdated Memorandum of Sales.

Thanks to new Street.co.uk alerts, you’ll never forget to update the Memo of Sales following a price change. If the agreed price of a property has changed following negotiations, Street.co.uk will send a reminder to the relevant agent, suggesting they resend the Memo of Sales with the new price, preventing any later follow-ups from a solicitor.

Filters for retirement properties.

We’ve tailored Street.co.uk’s search criteria to now include retirement homes for applicants who are only interested in finding this specific type of property. Agents can now quickly input the applicant’s preferences, ensuring they receive the most relevant matches, increasing the chance of a sale.

List shared accommodation on portals.

Thanks to our newly-added 'Shared Accommodation' check box, you can now easily list a singular room to let on the portals - ensuring your listing is flagged appropriately and you reach the right tenants.

More specific postcode boundary areas.

Get a more specific view of an area or location with Street.co.uk’s newly-updated postcode boundary settings. Previously, Street.co.uk only offered insight into an area using the prefix of a postcode (for example, M33)... now, agents can delve further into the postcode and look more precisely at an area by adding an additional character (e.g.,M33 3).

Apply desired tenancy periods.

Street.co.uk now allows agents to set desired tenancy periods for applicants (e.g., 12 months), helping narrow down their search and give agents a better understanding of their rental criteria. To complement this new feature, we’ve also updated the matching system to only give applicants matches to properties of their desired tenancy length, speeding up their search and helping landlords find tenants even quicker.

Upgraded window cards.

And our updates don’t stop there! This month, elevate your window card and shopfront marketing with the addition of Street.co.uk’s two new window card designs, including:

  • Portrait window cards, including address and price.
  • Window cards with a short property description.

Street.co.uk has kicked 2023 off with a bang - and that’s only the start! We can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the rest of the year, so stay tuned for a whole host of new features and updates heading your way over the next 12 months…
